Beyond the Book

Meet Robbie Munn Bayler

Robbie Munn Bayler is not easily placed in a single category, and that is perhaps the most fitting thing about her. She is a woman who has spent eight decades collecting experiences with intention, wonder, and an unshakeable faith. Born with a restless spirit, Robbie has lived a life that most could not fit into three lifetimes. She has served as a world-traveling missionary across oceans, led worship as a professional singer earning the nickname "the singing missionary," and worked as a visual artist, stage actress, and bookkeeper. These are not mere footnotes; they are chapters in a life that refuses to be small.

Reflecting on her family devotion, she notes:

"I have journeyed through life as a wife, a mother, a grandmother, and beyond. Each of these roles has shaped me, but it is my journey through widowhood that has brought me, finally, to you."

It was the sudden death of her husband, John Kenneth Bayler III, the man who always encouraged her to write, that finally brought Robbie to the page in full. Staring at his empty chair amid an oceanic grief, she faced the hardest questions of survival and solitude with absolute honesty. From her personal journals, prayers, and the slow work of healing, her book Can I Survive Widowhood? was born to provide a practical, scriptural, and financial guide for women navigating their own unexpected new beginnings. Her debut historical novel, A View from the Palace, took a different kind of courage, spending years meticulously researching Acts 13:1 to reconstruct a sweeping, cinematic world inside the corridors of Herod’s palace.

Robbie writes the way she lives: without pretense or shortcuts. Her grief is honest because she has felt it completely, and her hope is powerful because it has been tested by fire. As she beautifully summarizes:

"Even in life's darkest moments, faith can light the path forward, and hope can guide us toward healing. I know this not because I read it somewhere, but because I lived it."

Today, as a great-grandmother with a writer’s eye and a missionary’s heart, she continues to write, paint, and mentor. She does not write to impress, but to ensure that any woman sitting in a silent kitchen, staring at a cup of coffee, knows that someone else has been there and made it through.

Every Story Has the Power to Inspire

Robbie's books do not sit quietly on a shelf. They travel with you; into grief, into wonder, into the corridors of history, and into the stillness of your own life. They are written to be felt, not merely finished.

our mission

Sharing Hope Through Every Chapter

Robbie Munn Bayler's mission has never changed. Whether she was singing in a village on the other side of the world, sitting beside a grieving widow at a support group, or crafting a scene set in first‑century Jerusalem, the underlying purpose has always been the same: to remind people that they are not alone and that the God who walks through history also walks through heartbreak.

Her two books carry that mission in very different forms. A View from the Palace reaches across two thousand years to show that faith has always been a costly, courageous, and ultimately transforming choice. Can I Survive Widowhood? reaches across a kitchen table to say: here is someone who understands what your silence sounds like, and here is what helped her find her way back to living.

Together, these books represent the very heart of a life spent in service to Scripture, to story, and to the people who need both. Every chapter Robbie writes is an act of faith. Every page is an offering. And every reader who picks up one of her books is exactly the person she had in mind when she sat down to write it.
